I understand how to get the Agents to prefer online sources vs local metadata. Is there a way for Plex to push that online data, TVDB for example, to my local files? I use ChannelsDVR for the virtual channels feature and their agents are horrible, but I love the Virtual Channels feature. Even though my filenames are formatted correctly, I’ve found that some of my files have bad metadata associated and that’s throwing off Channels’ matching feature. I was hoping that Plex could push the matched, “correct” metadata to my files so everything lines up
This isn’t supported. Plex won’t manipulate the source media files.
That’s unfortunate. Just discovered tinymediamanager so hopefully that solves my problems
