QNAP Plex Media Server version < 1.15

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

Hi,

I’m in the same position as the user in this post, being capped at QNAP firmware 4.2.6, however my plex server recommended the upgrade to 1.15 - so I downloaded the update, and went to install it. The QNAP NAS decided to delete the old version before verifying it could install the new version, which it could not. I now have no way of re-installing the old version, no Plex.

Is there any way of getting the last version before you went to the newer version of glibc? I would very much appreciate being able to download the last version I had (I think 1.14) so I can at least use Plex until I update my nas hardware.

@chrisallen thank you so much, that did the trick!

Fyi @bbbbbetheball I’ve learned to save every version of Plex Media server for my qnap specifically for this purpose!

@spacehound that’s a great idea. I’ll make sure I do that from now on.

guys how can i downgrade without losing any user data settings on the plex? the version 1.15 has a bug apparently, uses to much ram…

On QNAP, simply install on top of the existing.

well, ive installed it, but now its now working…

Give a full restart. The socket (port 32400) sometimes does not close fast enough for the newly started version to use it.

Thank you very much!
