Current setup is as follows:
1 Raspberry Pi (empty) & 2 Windows (both have content) Plex servers locally, 1 QNAP Plex server at another site. All are on the same account and were working fine until this morning.
Both Windows boxes had the latest Plex upgrade installed the day prior. Fairly certain I upgraded the NAS also. The only thing that I have done otherwise was set up NAT on the router to make one Windows box remotely reachable.
This morning for some reason the 2 Windows boxes were acting odd. Both were running, but they would go back and forth appearing and disappearing from the server list. After logging them off and back on and multiple restarts I decided to change the account password and completely purge all authed devices. Everything reconnected fine except the QNAP server. which just disappeared altogether. The Raspberry Pi never had any problems.
The NAS has been running Plex for 5+ years with no major issues.
Plex and the NAS have been restarted/rebooted several times. I’ve tried deleting preferences.xml and removing name/email/token/etc from the xml. Neither did anything. I also reinstalled over the current install, no dice.
I’ve got a VPN connection to the NAS server and I can connect to the web interface using its internal IP. The interface works and sees the other 3 servers, but the NAS server doesn’t show on its own interface or anywhere else. The Windows boxes were doing the same thing earlier. The NAS server can’t be reached via HTTPS using its private or public IP. I get “domain.com unexpectedly closed the connection.” Server was remotely HTTPS accessible by ip/domain before this.
I don’t think I signed out of Plex on the NAS server out before deleting it on the auth devices so it may be something related to old credentials, but I’m at a loss at this point.
