I get an notice that I can update the QNAP PMS to 1.13.5.5291. In the settings section it states that this update has to be done manually. No matter if I try to click on the link on the top of the main page or going into the settings section it cannot be updated. The only thing that happens is a full page of letters and figures.
I have the PMS on a QNAP TS-653 B, 8gb ram, 1,5 GHz Intel.
The QNAP binary is a SHAR file.
RIght-Click the link and “Save As” (The correct QPKG name will show)
If you can configure your browser to always save files of that extension, it will save you that step in the future
Ok, I have saved the file but since I’m not familiar with this kind of files (normally uses the mac-mini as PMS) I’m not sure how I install this file since there’s no .exe function. I might be a little bit thick here but it’s the first time I do this for the QNAP.
Via the QNAP web interface:
.qpkg file and click Install
