QTS Update to 4.4.3

Jesus. Now it is not working at all.

Here is one screenshot after uninstall, restart, install, restart. And the log files. Logs (1).zip (107.6 KB) Capture

This is a complete new install, without anything in the Plex Media Server Folder.
But the install was done from remote as I am currently not in my local network. But this shouldnt be any problem or?

Add /web to the url

I did, it came up, but not like on local network, where you are suppose to do the first setup. I will do it when I am back home. And just simply start to rescan all my media. Nightmare. But I guess this will be the outcome. With your tips given, I cannot make PMS run again.
If the PMS 1.20.1 is not running, I will then go back to newly install the 1.15.6 from Qnap Store.

Disappointing an annoying but nothing else I can do.

I can wish, that in future versions, Plex might be more stable with databases etc. or restoring is made a better way.

I guess there is also not a simple way to restore only the playlists being saved in my prvious installation?

OK. Update. PMS 1.20.1 is now running and scanning the first Media directory.
So its a long way to go.
Never the less it was a pitty not getting it fixed.
But thanks again for your help and try!

Do not start ANY scans.
Let it finish it’s current scan

Then:

  • Stop PMS from AppCenter
  • Make a copy of the Plug-in Support/Databases directory
  • Then restore the old database from backup on top
    • (Hopy you still got it)
  • Restart PMS from AppCenter
  • Wait 5 min. for database migration/update to take place

OK. I will try once its finished with scanning.

What happens with all the Media and Metadata folder?
Will they download again?

After you get it in, you’ll have your playlists.

Then select each library, and do a forced refresh

OK. The good news is, I have all my data now back in there. I renamed my Meta and Media Folder in old_… and copied the old onces also in there. But the pictures are still missing. So I guess I have to do the refresh but before probably remove the just copies folder again and go back the fresh folder with nothing in it, right?

Correct

OK. Now scanning for metadata. At least no need to configure everything again.
Thanks al ot.
One more thing.
How to get a secure https connection? I think I had it once when I did the new install of PMS a bit earlier that day. But now it does not connect via https. Maybe a port issue? Does Plex a need a different port?
I connect via myqnapcloud URL to the QTS and then click on Plex in App Store. The myqnapcloud opens PLex with https but it shows error in connection. .

Don’t.

Use this link: https://app.plex.tv/desktop

OK. I will do that. Thank you!

Hi, sorry one more question. After forcing the Metadata actualization, the little circle on the right upper side is running, but if you click on it to see the activity it stops at some folders. Pictures of Artists in Music Library only shows until letter H all other coming after are very rare shown. The folder information on the activity “button” stays on the same folder even after 24 hours.

Any suggestion what to do?
