I am a total noob to Plex and apologize in advance if I am not posting this in the correct section of the forum. I have searched but can not find someone solving my specific issue.
I have a Windows 10 pc recently built to be a dedicated plex server. I am using the Hauppauge Quad HD tuner to be able to record programs from my digital antenna. I installed the driver from the manufacture website and my tuner is recognized and appears to be working. I did NOT install the WinTV software as I read this will cause a conflict. From inside the plex web client, when adding my tuner to create a DVR I see two tuners available (each with 2 tuners). If I select the tuner on the left and do a channel scan it finds 49 channels but if I select the tuner on the right it only finds one channel and it is the same channel every time I attempt a scan. I found the post about the program Channel Fixer created by user LordProgrammer and used it following the directions in the post. I add both tuners and scan for channels on both. Then I delete my DVR and exit the server software. I run ChannelFixer and it completes fixing the channel identifiers. Then I re-add the my DVR without re-scanning but nothing changes. I still have two tuners that can record and watch live tv, but the other two tuners only see one channel that I can’t watch at all. I have also used channel fixer to erase all tuner data and start over. No matter which pair of tuners I choose to add and scan first I always get the same result. I am out of things to try probably due to my limited experience with plex. If anyone could help me solve my problem so I am able to use all 4 of the tuners on the card I would really appreciate it.
