Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe has both movies and TV shows, how would you enable Plex to show everything under one collection?
Just to use the movies and the What If…? show as an example…I thought about just putting the episodes in a movies folder so Plex sees it as a movie and lump it under the collection. This forces me to edit every facet of each episode because the scrapper does not do anything with it because its actually a TV show.
Then I read somewhere online that if you have tag it under Collections and name it the same as you have it in the movie section, it would show up within the movie collection…NOPE.
Yes, if you use the identical name for the Collection tag, items from TV, Movie and Music libraries will appear in the same collection.
The order of how they appear depends on how you get there. If you open the Collection in the TV library, the TV shows will be first – open it from Movies, and Movies will be first.
Here’s a screenshot of my Harry Potter collection (I added an unrelated TV show because I don’t think there are any HP TV shows):
There might be a glitch with this. I tried it once by adding Falcon and the Winter Soldier to my Marvel Cinematic Universe and it worked
After I deleted it I added it again to get a better screenshot and it wouldn’t show up
The orange circle at the bottom starts like it’s about to show the TV shows, but then it just disappears and nothing shows up
