Can anyone tell/show EXACTLY me how they got Plex to show Batman TAS episodes to display in DVD or production order CORRECTLY?
Edit that show (using the pencil symbol) and go to the Advanced tab on the left. There’s an option for Episode ordering. You can choose Aired order or DVD order. Your choice. Just make sure you’ve properly numbered the file names for the order you want (because Plex won’t know how to correct for that). I’ve done this with the usual shows (translation: Futurama, Firefly, etc) and they all handle it fine.
Just to confirm, I need to label the files in the order I want them to appear and NOT in the order they are listed on TVBD, correct?
Asking because I’m pretty sure I tried that a d it worked for the first 30 episodes, then after that it didnt follow the order I wanted.
Also wanted to ask what exactly is Absolute Order??
With absolute order, I believe that’s basically the order as intended by the production. Sometimes the DVD order isn’t 100% correct either. But often, DVD and absolute order are the same.
The main problem with TheTVDB right now is that they no longer have access to absolute/DVD order via their web interface. It was lost in the redesign.

That makes it a little harder to make sure you have the proper order correct. To be honest, I’m not 100% sure how to make sure your episodes are named/numbered correctly prior to attempting to have Plex sort them into DVD order. This is a fairly recent development. Perhaps someone else can chime in on the best way to accomplish that.
