Question on Plex's warning for the recent update

Been having issues on Version 1.40.1.8227. Wish I never did the update. See a new update was released, which does address some of my concerns. But looking for some clarification. It says:

Plex itself is installed in all the normal default directories but I do have a custom path for transcoding in settings. That shouldn’t affect the upgrade and I don’t need to un-install and re-install over that, right?

Then all is well and the mentioned issue doesn’t affect you.
