Plex Server Updated 06/22/24 to "ProgramFiles\Plex" folder previously in "ProgramFiles(x86)\Plex"

Plex Server Updated 06/22/24 to “ProgramFiles\Plex” folder previously in “ProgramFiles(x86)\Plex”. Unable to access my Library files.
Changed Registry and Icons to point to “ProgramFiles\Plex” for new update
Was able to see Library files on players.
Subsequently added new Movies/TV shows to Library. They show up in the application/player but will not play. Sometimes see message,
"This server is not powerful enought to convert video.

Select Option on Player “…More”
Select “More info” and there are no file details, i.e. File:, Size, Video, or Audio, as can be found on the videos added prior to the upgrade.

Files are the similar in size and specs as the previously uploaded videos (mkv)

Server Version#: Version 4.129.1

I think I fixed it…Changed the Directory back to “Program Files (x86)” , Then went through the registry and change all the pointers, and moved the software back to the directory. Really curious why the upgrade changed directories. I’m always leery when the message pops-up on a player and tells me there’s a new update for the server, seems it usually ends up with a problem requiring a reboot!

The new server versions are 64 bit which go in the Program Files folder. the Program Files x86 one is for 32 bit apps.

Was the app data folder in the default location? Were you running PMS as a service under admin?
