Hey guys,
I added an album to my library the other day and for some reason it’s got a rating, I don’t have the ratings option set, so don’t get why this has appeared. I’ve added stuff since and non of it got rated. I just took the said album off the server and re added and it still shows up.
Any ideas?

Have you checked the tags of the files? The rating is probably embedded there.
(Also, this album is not that bad ;-))
Haha, yeah I think it’s pretty good. Not his best, but worth having. So I ripped the CD and added the metadata myself with Kid3. I don’t think there’s any rating, I wouldn’t know how do add that in the metadata. I’ll double check tomorrow though.
If it’s not the metadata, anything else it could be?
I think those ratings are found and applied by Plex if you have “Album Reviews and Critic Ratings” enabled in your music library. Check the advanced tab where you can edit the Music Library, and try disabling that.
Probably have to refresh metadata for the Artist and/or Album after that. Plex really likes to hold onto metadata it has downloaded. If that fails try the Plex Dance for the album.

I’ve checked the metadata and can’t see any ratings. I don’t have album reviews and critic ratings selected. I also did the Plex Dance, but it still shows up. The only way I managed to get get rid of it was by unmatching the album, which I don’t really wanna do.
Just seems odd to me.
If I shared my logs would that help?
It’s happened again on another album now.
So, it seems to be happening with anything new getting added. If I unmatch and then match again it thinks it’s matched but doesn’t show any of the info.

Further info on this. I made a test music library with the Prince folder and 3 out of the 10 albums were still coming up with fixed ratings even though the option for ratings was turned off.
I’m guessing this is a bug in the new version that was released on the 8th April?
Could someone please check on their library or let me know if this is being sorted.
