Random Sync Problems

I am currently using Plex Server 1.3.3.3148 on FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201601181840. About a month or so ago, I started receiving random sync failures indicating that “This media was unable to be analyzed”. Sometimes, I am able to get the same media to sync if I reattempt - other times it fails consistently. (I have been keeping up with the server upgrades hoping that this issue was resolved)

I have check the cache directories and confirmed that there is plenty of free space. I have also had a friend attempt to sync these same video files using a Plex server running under Windows. Looking at the log files, I believe that this is the error that is causing the problem, but I have been unable to find a solution:

  • LPE: unknown item 46315.
  • Sync: failed to generate query for path library://098d7b9e-704d-4eed-ae21-bbed3dcb9f92/item/%2Flibrary%2Fmetadata%2F46315 in sync item 6989218
  • Sync: skipping items for sync list 5981343, sync item 6989218: unable to generate sync set query

Complete logs attached.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks…

I’ve been running into a similar issue on FreeNAS and downgrading was the only reliable solution. I will try to find the version that works and let you know.

Threevil,

Did you downgrade Plex, FreeNAS or both?

Update… Just finished a clean install under Ubuntu. Seems to be working fine. Would prefer to get the FreeBSD/FreeNAS implementation working however.
