Raspberry Pi doesn't load new library... permission denied

I’ve been trying to resolve this issue all day; no luck. …there are loads of examples on the internet with similar issues, but non have helped as of yet.

Fresh install of Plex on Raspberry Pi 3B+ plex shows an error in the scan log that permission is denied to the external USB hard drive.

  • Drive is formatted NTSF (…and yes I loaded the NTSF-3G drivers).
  • The external drive is named “Plex_Movie” appears to be mounted as “Plex-Movie1”. I’ve tried to remove the first instance of the mount, but no luck there either.
  • Followed some advice on setting a permanent mount point for external drive at USB1 but again no luck…

I’m obviously not following some instructions correctly, but for the life of me I can not figure out where I’m going wrong. Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction.
