Rasplex 9.9.18 Issue

Just re-flashed the latest Rasplex 9.9.18 to a Class 10 SD card.

When playing a movie or tvshow after a couple of minutes Rasplex reboots, tried this a couple of times same issue, copy of log file attached.

Trying to attach log file.

I had same issue with version 9.9.17 yesterday. It kept rebooting after some minutes when I was watching a TV show. Tonight I will install 9.9.18 to see if it's the same.

Audio / video combo? Network configuration?

issues here too. love everything about this release except it hard freezes 1 - 2 minutes into any movie I've tried to start.

have similar to this.

Playback is completely busted in this version, back to 9.9.16!

For me playback is only busted when transcoding video's. So when I change setting 'Local Video Quality' from "Direct Play" to "20 Mbps" (or lower) it just won't start.

Not even shows a black screen first. On Direct Play mode it plays fine (but needs to buffer all the time because it streams over WiFi).

UPDATE: disabling the AC3 and DTS passthrough settings fixed transcoded playback for me!  :D

Playback is only a problem for me on 9.9.18 when Preferences > Playback > Advanced Video > Adjust display refresh rate to match video" is enabled.  At which point huge volumes of nastiness happen within 2-3 mins of starting a 24p movie - dropouts, flickering screens, crashing, lockups all sorts of horrible.  Turning off this option resolves all the issues for me, but of course I can no longer do 24p content properly.

This feature was working fine on 'current' build.

Another thing to consider is the fairly intense first-time pre-caching operations that these experimental RasPlex versions perform when connected to a main PMS account (it's different for shared access).

Tests made before the initial caching is completed may well be affected by those operations, resulting in failures that would not occur if testing the same videos later, when image caching is complete.

I waited for the initial cache to complete - CPU was down relatively low and stayed low while not adjusting refresh rate, but was up in 85-90% soon as it went into 24p "mode".  Most puzzling.

I can confirm that enabling "Preferences > Playback > Advanced Video > Adjust display refresh rate to match video" makes video unplayable...

Not just me then. I’d better check out how to raise a ticket. It wouldn’t do for this build to make it to current…

I did this and tested it on 4 movies. One did not play, one played audio only, and two played with no issues (ran for 20 minutes each).

That report would be more meaningful with framerate information for each of those movies, paired with their playback results.
