Hi,
I am happily running Rasplex 1.0.3 on an RPi3. This is a bit of a tangent issue for Rasplex, but I am hoping someone has a suggestion.
In addition to its functions as Plex client, I would like to use it as a DLNA renderer for my TV, e.g. to stream YouTube video from a laptop etc. I am trying this from a Windows 10 laptop. You can send local files to a DLNA renderer through the “Cast to Device” item in the right-click menu and this works well for both video and music. (casting from the Win10 Video app also works well).
However, in addition, the Edge browser has a similar option to cast media from a webpage (e.g. YouTube) to a DLNA device. This fails to work with Rasplex. Rasplex is detected as a renderer by Edge, it seems to connect. When music is cast to Rasplex, the TV displays the attached cover art but no sound is played. For video, nothing happens at all with Rasplex remaining on the PMT homepage.
Should this work? Is there something I can try?
