Been using the pled system for a few weeks now, and loving it. I have been using Plex on iOS as a remote, and after firing up the system, discovered that the Rasplex was not allowing me to cast media on it.
I tried reseting the rasplex, shutting it down, and pulling power.
I updated my iOS on my phone, and reset the Plex app.
Both items are hanging off the same wifi, so this kinda has me stumped. I have also tried turing off and on the remote option in the Plex app.
The Rasplex can not bee seen from any device at this time, including my Macbook.
Are you sure that RasPlex is ‘signing in’ properly with Plex ? The fact that no other device can ‘see’ RasPlex implies that its logon with myPlex may have failed.
On the other hand it could be specific to iOS devices and iOS airplay casting, as that differs from other methods. Please check with the Plex/Web browser application whether or not it can ‘see’ your RasPlex.
As for the remote options in RasPlex, they will need to be on in order for remote control and casting apps to work.

If you are looking to cast anything other than from the iOS Plex client, i.e. using Airplay then it won't, Airplay was 'broken' some time ago, even iOS8 stil does not fix the problem. We are working on a fix but it will take some time to get it working again, thank Apple for that.

Nope, not worried about Airplay.
I just have not been able to get Plex iOS or Plex Web to link and cast a show onto my Rasplex.
Tonight I reinstalled Rasplex onto my Pi, and still have the same issue.
Not sure what is going on. It worked Thursday, but Friday morning I have not been able to get Plex to see my Rasplex. Both my Mac and iPhone won't log in, to remote the rasplex :(
I’m getting a Raspberry 2, and was wondering if any of you know if there’s an iOS app that will control Rasplex (including menus, set up, etc). From what I’ve gathered, the Plex iOS app doesn’t currently do this. I was thinking Hipporemote or something similar as an alternative. I don’t have a usb keyboard so any first hand knowledge for working apps would best most helpful for initial setup.
