Could you add an option to configure the WiFi Network in the installer already? I have a very long wifi key and it's not really fun to type that in with the TV Remote... Well since RasPlex is OpenELEC based, I can't even configure the wifi over SSH because OpenELEC is missing the required modules... Any possibility to add an option to easily configure wifi?

I have same problem, except more generally - most of the rasplex.com website links are broken at least since yesterday (25 Feb 2016) which was the first time I tried to access the site. Except for the home page, none of the links go anywhere that works.
I just bought a Rasberry 2 to install Rasplex on. I have an 8Gb microSD card. Installed Rasplex 1.0.3 and put it in my new raspberry. Connected HDMI cable with tv, connected LAN cable and then put in the power. On my TV I get a black screen and it says Recorder (RasPlex). Nothing happens anymore… I checked my sd card and after installing RasPlex it only has 511mb usable, rest of SD card is unallocated… Is that normal. Formatted the card back to normal and reinstalled. Same thing happened. Used win32diskimager to manually install RasPlex, same result. Black tv screen and nothing happening… Anyone know what to do? I am new to Rasberry, so I dont have a clue.

Are you sure you got the correct image , there are two, one for RPi0/RPi1 and one for RPi2/RPi3.

Yes, you will only see the first partition on Windows, the second partition is a Linux file system.

Hey Ned, thanks for the really quick answer! Yes, I am sure I choose RPi2. The installer I used looks exactly like the one you send me the link of (GetRasplex), but to be sure I will redo all the steps with download from your link again:). In Minitool Partition wizard I see one fat32, one ext4 partition (when both added are 511mb) and rest of the SD card is unallocated. I am now redoing and retrying all the steps from your guide and let you know the results asap! Thanks!
Ok, I couldn’t use the download link in your description to get GetRasplex because it automatically downloads the .dmg file which I cannot use under windows. I went to http://www.rasplex.com/get-started/rasplex-installers.html to get the win installer (GetRasplex-win7-32.1.0.1.exe). I opened this file with administrator rights. Then I selected RPi2 and downloaded the rar file (RasPlex-RPi2.RP-1.0.3.img.rar). It downloaded and verified ok. I then installed it on my MicroSD card (freshly formatted). I used the safely remove hardware to eject it. I connected lan and hdmi to my RPi2 and inserted the microSD card. Then I connected the power. A little red light is steadily burning on the RPi2 with a flashing green light besides it (the green light stops flashing after a couple of minutes). At the lan cable I have a steadily burning orange light and a flashing green light (wont stop flashing, maybe its not ready yet???). My Sony tv says Recorder 1(RasPlex) at the top of the screen and rest stays black. I even checked if they really send me a RPi2, but it is written so on the little mobo of the RPi. Any more ideas?
p.s. I notice the GetRasplex file is called GetRasplex-win7-32.1.0.1.exe. I have Windows 10 64bit on my laptop. Could that be an issue?
I have updated the GitHub page I previously linked, with links for both OSX and Windows, sorry. Should work fine now.
The GetRasplex file you downloaded is the correct one, despite having Win7 in the name (Windows 10 wasn’t around when the file was updated last) and works fine on Windows 10.
One thing that puzzles me is that the file GetRasplex downloaded has an .img.rar extension, it should have an .img.gz extension.
My mistake, I thought it was a rar because it was packaged. And I cant see the extensions in windows… So I assumed. Just to be really really sure though, I just tried it again with your link. Same result… I have no clue. Ill try another SD card, but that shouldnt really be the problem I think. I should get at least some sort of screen infos.
Hi, just to let you know I think I found a bug in the Linux installer.
I initially tried the Linux installer with a Linux Mint PC (Mint 18 Sarah, 64 bit), and just couldn’t get it to see the SD card to write to.
I checked it’s sda number in Gparted, tried again using FAT32 and EXT4 formats, but still, the Rasplex installer couldn’t see it for some reason in either format. It listed all the sda’s that had no card inserted into to them (as I have a multi-card reader installed in the PC front). I could use the card as per normal with other applications, so it had no fault with the card or reader.
I then tried it in it’s own independent USB card reader, and the now empty port it was occupying in the milti-card reader was suddenly listed, but the new single USB reader was not listed. Again, I could see it in Gparted, and use the card as normal.
It’s almost as if the list is set up to show the inverse of what it should be showing, ie: showing the drives that re not available, but hiding the ones that are.
I resorted to using my Windows 7 work computer to create the SD card with the Windows installer, which worked well.
I don’t know. That sounds more like the card format.
On my PC (Windows 7) I put in a card that the PC would not recognize (I believe it had been formatted for use as a FreeNAS installer). I could not even format it with windows. I finally found an application called Rufus that recognized the card and allowed me to format it (NTFS).
I am truly at my wits end, I need help. I have spent 2 days going to be well after 4am and I don’t think i can do it again.
I have Plex Server 1.4.3.3433 and Rasplex 1.7.1 on a Pi3. All my local content plays without any issues but I cannot get any channels to work. I mostly use SSPLEX and nothing. On all the other clients it works 100%. Web & iOS plays series from SSplex no problem. I just don’t know what to do to get it to work. I am begging please help me. I do not have another way of watching series right now. Any and all help will be appreciated greatly.

Channels may need to be adjusted to play properly in OpenPHT. You’re best off working with the SSPLEX plugin developer.
@benjaminwolf I will check it out. the way its going i am probably just getting a Roku and walking as fast away from Rasplex as possible. I will try and see if the link gives me any additional work around. Will give feedback soon.
