I’ve recently installed RasPlex (1.6.2.123-e23a7eef) on my Pi 2 and noticed that my PlexPass managed users do not have access to set system settings or preferences. This can cause issues if the TV is not compatible with the settings selected by the Admin, such as resolution or audio settings, when used by a managed user. In my case, I am providing this Pi 2 to my brother who lives in another city and I am unable to set it up at his location. The current workaround is that the managed user would need to gain access to the Admin account which may pose a problem if said account is protected by a pin.
I have selected the ability for the managed users to see the shutdown and restart options, but I was unable to find a setting to show system settings or preferences. Is this currently possible?
