Just to let everyone know that @DeadEyeFlint and @MagnumDoomguy recently joined the Rasplex/OpenPHT team so that their awesome skins are always updated to include the latest new features and fixes.

Have a look at them, they can be found here:

Either skin can be installed by copying the skin folder to /storage/.plexht/addons.

That’s awesome news! And…just because I’m feeling lazy…any chance you can just include these as a selectable skin with the default install of Rasplex (…since these guys are officially part of the team)?

Agreed. I have no issues with the Black Edition skin.

Aeon Nox by MagnumDoomguy is really the best skin I have even seen. Really love the way he is implementing all the features. Running great on rpi2, Keep up the good work!

Is it possible to run both and change between them within rasplex?

Yes you can, install the skins and from Preferences, select the skin you want to use, when you’ve tried one, just repeat. Note that loading a skin after selecting it will take a little time.

Hi Ned,

Sorry i’m very new to rasplex.

I’m wondering how I access that folder on my mac?

I’ve taken the SD card out of the raspberry pi and looked into it on my mac and there is no folder named as you have below?

Any help would be appreciated.

ok i’m using cyberduck to access the pi 3 but there is no .plexht folder. Do I need to create the folder for it?

Using the SSH SFTP option logging in as root/rasplex

OSX does not natively support it.

You need to enable hidden folders in Cyberduck, the ‘.’ before plexht indicates it is a hidden folder.

Good news is that in the next release you will be able to download, install and activate either of these skins within Rasplex Preferences.

Just wondering, is it possible to get hold of the standard plex skin as a standalone download, like the custom ones, to learn how to customise it?

@edjonesy: If you want to modify the default skin, the tutorials here mostly apply to OpenPHT (some things will be different):

I found both to be very helpful while I was learning how to skin PHT.

Does anybody know how to get the PMP skin for rasplex? I like the setup of it but hate actually using the embedded preview as it’s too slow.
