Rasplex unable to retrieve content listings from plexmedia server

Hello,

I recently made a few changes to my plexmedia server configuration to make it more secure as I’m allowing access to it over the internet. However tonight I tried to use my rasplex device, and noticed it wasn’t able to sync or even connect to my plexmediaserver box.

I read somewhere that a possible solution to this was to disable requirements for a user to sign in to view content. However I’m not sure where the configuration option for this, but I believe I have it disabled and my rasplex box is still unable to connect.

I’m verified connectivity between rasplex and my plexmediaserver, restarted the device, and attempted to sign in with rasplex, however that fails.

Any help would be appreciated.

You could try removing your rasplex from the devices tab in plexweb, and then reconnecting rasplex to your plex server again…

Did you install newest Plex Server 1.1.x by any chance? Maybe this could be the problem?

Plex Media Server 1.1.3 is now available for everyone.
IMPORTANT: With the security changes in version 1.1.0, if your Plex Media Server is signed in to a plex.tv account, then all of the apps you use must also be signed-in. If you use older apps that cannot authenticate (e.g. LG’s MediaLink app), you can add the IP address of the device to the following advanced preference: Settings > Server > Network > List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth. (We strongly encourage apps to be signed in for improved security and enhanced functionality.)

i have a same issue, can u please tell me where can i add the list of ip addresses to allow without auth ?

In PMS:
Settings > Server > Network > List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth
