i search a remotecontrol that function very good whit rasplex.
Can me help to find a perfekt remotecontroler?
You could use any remote that you like. You just need the correct parts. There are a lot off threads regarding remotes. If you do a quick search you will find a lot of options.
I am using a Logitech Harmony with a Flirc. As I am using a pi3 I could also connect with bluetooth, so that is an option to. If you have/buy a Flirc, every IR remote can be used. If you have a budget, you can make a IR receiver yourself, connect to the GPIO and edit the necessary XML file(s).
If your tv supports CEC, than that would be a simple solution in most situations. You can just use your tv remote to navigate through Rasplex.

Then i see the problem of the IR-Remote that i can not use the Remote from all position.
I use befor the Rii Mini i25, that have a wireless remote and i can use the remote from all position in the Rooms.
But not alle buttons function, then i search a better Remote. But i think wireless remote its good big rooms.
Like @thommy86 I use a Harmony with a Flirc. I can use this remote from anywhere in a large room. In fact, I can point the remote at the ceiling, the walls and even behind me and the Flirc picks it up. If it doesn’t work for you, you must have an anti-reflective coating on your walls.
