I got the courage to update the server (and player) after almost half a year, hoping the problem has been solved in the meantime. OttoKerner said in April that he filed a bug report, so how much time can it take to solve a bug?
Still, the same bug. I can’t rate artists in the Rating column. Yes, I use a basic library with ‘Tracks’ view mode.
Downgrade again.. and check back half a year later probably.

I find it very weird when a bug, and even more, a feature that was once working is not on the priority list for fixing. I’m a software engineer and I’ve never considered a bug not a priority.
Even more, considering it was once working, I can only bet that a git blame will reveal everything and the issue would be solved in no time.
Anyway, I downgraded Plex again, downloaded all the Chrome plugins that I use along with it (so they don’t update for newer Plex versions and not work anymore), so it’s no hurry for me.
I’m only trying to update because there are a lot of playback issues with my Android app and I hoped newer versions might fix them… but that’s another topic.
