Blow our minds. Create a .SRT (Subtitle Files) like format for videos that would let you specify at what point during movies and shows you could mute the sound or skip video. You know like that movie that has that one part that you can’t let your 10 year old daughter watch but the rest of the movie is fine. You could basically make your own Ratings for movies by having multiple SRT like files (lets call them r8t files… what!!!) You could have the .r8t files allow setting a rating in the file so a movie would show up under two or even more ratings but would use the .r8t file that is appropriate with the rating selected.
If you standardize this format it would allow people to share the files with other people just like sites do with .srt files and allowing other users to benefit off of your work.
There are several movies that we don’t let our daughter watch just cuz of a few bad words. If we could mute them there would be nothing wrong with the movie. Additionally there are some movies that might just have one scene that is just a little too provocative and I have to sit and wait and skip it when the part comes up.
