Rating/Like being applied to multiple versions of track causing playlist fill up

Here’s the scenario

I’ve got Song A from “Album by Artist”.

I’ve got another compilation album featuring various but also Song B. Song B is the same as Song A metadata-wise (except for album) but on my file system they are two separate files in two different locations/albums.

The issue is when I give a like to Song A it also gives a like to Song B. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue but I’ve got a custom playlist setup to filter tracks by my likes and thus in my playlist the song appears twice in both forms right after each other. See below some examples:

image
Album 1 is: The Midnight | Phoenix #2772 | business casual
Album 2 is a compilation from the label: BIZC100 | Various Artists | business casual

The built-in “Fresh ” and “ Tracks” have an advanced playlist feature which avoids that duplication. We’ll be exposing that in the future for all playlists.

Ah that would make sense as I’m using a custom playlist to reverse the order of the default like songs playlist. I’ll keep an eye out for that update thanks.
