OK. Server version is 1.15.3.876 and it is running on a fully updated Windows 2019 server.
As for the player version, I’m running the new Plex Player for desktop on Windows 10, player version is 1.0.0.792-d4adb056.
Now, my problem is that every few seconds, on both the old desktop player and the new, the playback freezes for a millisecond. It’s quite noticeable and very annoying for me. I managed to capture it and load it up to youtube so that people can know what I am talking about.
The video I posted is at https://youtu.be/IxTBJviHTRI and Data freezes for a split second at 6 seconds. It’s very annoying and it happens on all videos. When I try to play the same video over the network through VLC, it plays flawlessly. But I’m the only one with that kind of access to the server machine. So, if someone can please help me to resolve this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.
I’m 99% positive that it is something in PLEX player and not in the server or network because it only happens in the Plex player. So, please, again, any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. I also double-checked the log files and there are no red-flags there either.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, from prior experience… If I were to format my computer and reinstall windows 10 and all my software from scratch, this issue would temporarily go away.
EDIT: I’m conferring with a friend who watches with me at my workstation and he also mentioned that a lot of the time, it takes forever to move on to the next video… The video ends, the countdown starts for the next video and then there is like five seconds of black screen, then the next video finally starts.
