Just wanted to let anyone who cares know; regarding the ReadyNas214 Stop/Uninstall issue.
New firmware 6.10.1 does not resolve the issue
New PLEX server version 1.15.6.1079 does not resolve the issue
Still no dev comment on he issue of being unable to stop or uninstall any version of PLEX 1.15.x. At this point, I would personally just accept a statement that the 214 is no longer a supported platform.
I’ve posted this more than once as far back as the end of April or start of May. NOT ONE admin or Dev has replied to any of the posts I have seen about this issue. Best to stay on V1.14.1.5488 as it is the last working version or find another media server that DOES get support.
Did you try installing the PMS app that comes with the readynas?
I’m still using the 6.9.5 firmware and all PMS starting 1.15.x don’t function properly but at least they do install. 1.14.1.5488 was the last perfectly working version for me.
By the sound of your experience I better not update my firmware because PMS is all I use it for.
@michael_rat do as you see fit. I posted at Netgear about it and was told, of course, it’s not an issue with the new Readynas firmware and these issues are usually related to the apps. (See HERE)
My suggestion(I’m no expert BTW just a n00b) would be to run 1.14.1.5488 and FW 6.10.1 as it’s working fine on my RN214. Until Plex devs bless us with some love that’s about the best you can do other than find a different Media Server software…or just not use Plex or anything else.
