This happened a few weeks ago for me. I notice everything is normal when I double click the Plex icon in the Windows tray that runs the server…
…however on the players mentioned I notice that it shows ‘Recently Added’ many many times on the home screen, I assume from every single library. It never used to do this, so I am thinking I must have done something wrong or there is a bug.
Example: I added a 4K movie to the server on 1/3/19 and it is showing under ‘Recently Added in 4K Movies’ on the home screen. I have 3 movie libraries, 2 tv libraries, and 3 Videos libraries, and it looks like all 8 have a ‘Recently Added’ section on the home screen regardless of use.
On my server home screen (double clicking the tray icon) and the Plex for Windows home screen, it only shows On Deck, Recently Added Movies, Recently Added TV, and Recently Added Videos.
For some reason on Nvidia Shield, PS4, and Xbox it isn’t combining the library categories on the Home screen.
“Some of the small updates we are making, including the split of Recently Added by library (only for pinned sources on home) are to be able to support that type of future functionality.”
I assume the above is referencing my problem? I very much dislike it and would prefer to have them merged by type like it has been for years - Instead of having ‘Recently Added Movies’ listed 3 times in a row as an example. I can’t understand why that wouldn’t be confusing and messy.
I suffer from the same only have 4 movie libraries and 10-ish tv libraries so you can imagine what it looks like
I’ve added 2 more with all Movies and All TV and massaged the Home screen to show new added and dashboard in the Webclient,
But the Android TV doubles everything up

Deleting my other libraries would fix the issue but it looks like something is in the works going off the On Deck & Continue Watching post
