New Home screen customizations is a mess!

The way Plex now displays my home screen is a mess and I can now disable it outside of the main Web interface so on my devices it looks horrible.

Why has On deck been removed and basically lumped in with continue watching.

Why the hell dose it now show me Recently Added for EACH individual library instead of a overview.

While I can turn this off but selecting to stop Plex managing my Home screen I can not do this one any device at all.

This was very poorly thought out and seems like a massive step backwards on the idea when you first lunched the new Plex interface of being highly customizable, it is not cos it’s either displayed how YOU think it should be or nothing else. We the user should be able to decide!!

Wait. Are we sure this is actually a change in the way the home screen works and not a bug of some sort?

Mine are still separate… I think?

I mean, admittedly the only thing I’m midway through watching right now is something from Plex’s own content and not my server, but it’s still separate.

See this is what I came here to post about. I just finished ripping a half-dozen movies to my server and I noticed that now I have two rows of recently-added series and two rows of recently added movies (because I have more than one library of each, when before each type of library would be lumped together.

This is on FreeNAS for server, and using web client (app.plex.tv) btw. Not Windows or XBox related.

Nope its defo a change thats rolling out as my Xbox starting looking like it a week ago, 2 of my users reported the same around the same time and last nights server update (Beta client) changed my web interface so this is defo new.

How it looked

How it looks now

And if I change this to Manage manually I can get the old not so cluttered view back however i can ONLY do this for the web interface not on my Devices where I actually watch Plex witch is what is so infuriating :frowning:

I would also like to point to my Reddit post about this with a number of people also chiming on how this is not a good way to go!!

IT’s a mess.
I have like 20 libraries, and now the home screen is full of “recently added”, without any way to evenknow of what library each row is.

I liked the idea of have a couple of “recently added”, one for all my anime libraries, and one for all shows libraries, but now it’s almost unusable.

My home screen is a disaster now. I have store comedy specials in a separate movie type library from films and I have TV show libraries for domestic, anime, and web shorts. The comedy specials library always shows up top because the home screen inexplicably shows libraries in alphabetical order and that library’s name starts with a C. I have to scroll way down like 8 rows to get to recently added TV which is the one that actually gets updated the most often. This has caused me a lot of headaches as my parents are now super confused when they go in and explaining the convoluted home screen customization process to them is a no-go.
