Possible, yes. This will happen if the newly added movie uses a different matching agent(Plex movie, Themoviedb)
But that would generate more work. Isn’t there an option of its own?
For what? If you add a movie that already exists and are using the same agent, plex will see it as a duplicate and place a number on the upper left corner of the poster.
There is no other way at the moment to add already existing content AND have it displayed in the recently added section.
