Server Version#: v.1.32.8.7639-fb6452ebf
OS: Windows 10
Avast
I recently got a new Netgear AX3000 4 Stream WiFi6 router & ever since Plex has refused to work properly & when it does work the stream is poor quality to all of my devices (smart TV, Android phone, PlayStation 5) & refusing to play subtitles on my videos (I watch a lot of anime).
I’ve gone through all the FAQs I could find, ensured that UPnP & everything is enabled (though the default Plex port isn’t showing up in the list), tried port forwarding and port triggering with the recommended Plex port (32400) but the router rejected it after initially letting it all work.
If I reset the Remote Server is connects for a few moments & then disconnects. I have currently turned off the port forward/trigger settings to the aforementioned port to see if that affects anything.
Am not sure if this is an issue with the router not accepting the UPnP settings (since the Plex port doesn’t appear in the Portmap table or something else blocking the Plex server. Should I assign the server it’s own IP address to get through the Port Forwarding or do you think this is something else affecting it?
I’ve toggled the Netgear Armour setting on & off as well but that didn’t change or affect anything. I have the latest version of Avast and don’t have a dedicated Firewall outside of the default ones. I don’t have a VPN running.
I have an older router set as a bridging device for a hard wired connection to my laptop (& other devices) but can’t detect an double NAT issues & when I switched over to WiFi with the bridge off it made no difference.
The Rely setting in Plex is also turned off.
Any help or advice on this matter would be most grateful for.
