I’m planning to install it tomorrow… I’ll let you know.
I installed the latest update v.9057 today. The issues that I have had with live TV seems to be fixed. I checked several channels, and they all worked. The bugs that were in v.8921 are mostly still there. For example, slow buffering, occasional failure to start streaming, but will start on a retry.
I’ll keep testing it and report any additional information.
Seems usable now.
I’ve been ignoring all the updates since the known-working 8921. Tried the 9057 update today. Still have issues with Live TV on Roku. It starts playing for 5-10 seconds, then buffers (80%) and never resumes. Rolled back to 8921 for now.
I use Plex exclusively for local content, so we watch it a lot. We have been watching it for several hours a day, and it has performed roughly the same as 8921.
It would be wonderful if the Plex developers would fix all of the bugs that have plagued live tv from the beginning.
Upgraded to 1.41.2.9200 released today and live tv works perfectly. Fingers crossed.
I upgraded to .9200 also… So far so good! I hope they don’t break it again!
Has anyone installed the 1.41.1.9057 update? I have been hesitant to install it. Everything is working, and I don’t want to break it again.
Has anyone installed the 1.41.1.9057 update?
I’m using 1.41.3.9314 and this issue is persistent for me. You’re currently using .2.9200?
I’ve done some fiddling around and it turns out I can stream live on my phone (iOS app version 8.42) but on my computer it just throws a generic playback error (Mac client version 1.105.2.269-12a32491). So I suppose (for me at least) this is a client problem and not a server problem, since it obviously can stream and download the content just fine.
