Recording are going to my Hard Drive instead of new HD HomeRun Scribe Quatro

I just set-up my HDHomeRun and all looks great! The problem is that I see all the recording going to my hard drive instead of the Scribe Quatro. Am I missing a setting?? I’ve searched high and low, but maybe I am just missing it.

I have not played with a scribe, but it seemed to me that the internal storage was designed for the HDHomeRun DVR. Since plex records to its own libraries, where ever your plex libraries are located is where the files will go. Unless there is a way to mount the disk in the scribe as a remote share on your machine and then create a plex library using that share, I don’t think it will work.

That’s what I was thinking too… just can’t figure out how to map to it. It seems a little short-sighted to not have this. In fact, it makes a 1TB drive pretty much useless, in my opinion.

scribe is designed as a stand alone dvr, like a tivo box.

while you may be able to use the tuners with plex, and use plex dvr, plex dvr is designed to use your library storage (not the scribe storage).

further, if you did use the scribe internal dvr function, I can only assume you probably will not be able to export those recordings to add to your plex library.
