The compatibility list for Plex states that all Hdhomerun series tuners are compatible but I wanted to know if Plex DVR capabilities in particular are compatible. In other words, rather than using the SiliconDust DVR software to schedule recording on the Scribe device, can I use Plex to mange the recordings on the Scribe?
No. The box has it’s own management system that records onto itself. Plex will record into your Plex library. The 2 are mutually exclusive of each other.
Edit - To be clear, the device can be used with Plex as a tuner.
