Recording fails: The destination library or location did not exist

I am getting a “The destination library or location did not exist” message during recordings that fail. The destination is clearly there and everyone had write access. I am running the server on a QNAP TS-451+ with firmware 4.3.3.0299. The device has 8GB of RAM and 4X 3TB WD Red drives in RAID6.

i am having this same issue. Where you able to find a fix at all?

I had a problem where some Plex DVR recordings such as “movies” would default to a USB attached RAID 5 array. It turned out that I had not setup a Movies folder on the local volume where I wanted such recordings to go and Plex simply defaulted to the only “Movies” folder it was aware of.

To solve it, I created an additional Movies folder on the local volume and set it up under Plex.

“/volume1/Movies”

The process was simple:

Movies > edit > add folders > browse for media

Then I entered the path and saved changes.
