Running Plex beta on NVidia Shield. All working apart the bugs, expected in beta. But… a real issue I have is that when i record something via the DVR Guide, it correctly appears in ‘Recordings’ and I can watch it, then delete it…but here’s the rub, even though the file is deleted it remains as a selection in the ‘Recordings’ view which when selected states ‘The file associated with this item is not accessible by the server’.
So ghost listings of previous recordings which have been deleted. How can these be removed ?
All past recordings will appear under ‘Recordings’.
This doesn’t matter much as long as the item is gone from the library view.
And Plex server needs to keep track which episodes it already recorded in the past, so it doesn’t re-record them upon repeated airings.
Ah thanks. But that creates a bit of confusion. When you enter ‘Live TV’ I have 2 options 'Channels & ‘Recordings’. I naturally (and so do my family) think that entering ‘Recordings’ will show us what is available to view that has been recorded.
If you enter ‘Recordings’ it shows ‘Schedule’ and ‘Recording Priority’. Then of course under ‘Schedule’ old listings which have been deleted.
If it’s working as designed… I think that may need to be revisited to avoid user confusion. I can imagine that being released as a production feature generating a lot of tickets for Plex.
I have forwarded your suggestion
Thank you
