Last night 2 recordings stopped at the same time only halfway through. Tonight CMA Awards stopped 6 minutes into the show. I’m on the latest release 1.9.6.429. I’m using the HDHomeRun Quatro turner. I am not transcoding, mostly default settings. No hardware encoder. This is the activity in the log around that time. It is also the very end of this log file before it switched to the next log.

I’ve been having the same problem lately.
Every day I wake up and review the day before’s and The overnight incomplete recordings. I even have a rule of thumb for myself: if recording ost more than 3 min, then delete the episode. This happens literally everyday. If this happens And I forget the daily chore of deleting the incomplete recordings, later I have to run a search for .ts files with < 300 MB and delete those. It’s not perfect, but will clear those 6 min recorded episodes. The worst is if you don’t delete it, then that same episode re-airs, plex says to itself I don’t need to record that episode because it thinks it already has it.
Oh and there’s a per recording setting to choose to keep partial records which I leave on because I have so, so many 28 & 29 min episodes that would not have been kept otherwise.
Out of curiosity, do either of you have server updates set to be installed “Automatically during scheduled maintenance”. That was something I had recently switched to. I switched it back to “Ask me”, and now it seems like the things I’ve scheduled to be recorded are back to being recorded all the way through to the end. I have no idea why this would matter, and maybe it’s just a coincidence.
No, I never allow updates to apply automatically.
