Recovery of synced media in iOS app

I have some media synced to my Plex app on an iPad which is no longer on my Plex server (the server HD crashed and I was unable to recover some of the files from an existing backup). If possible, I want to download the synced media to my Plex Server (or at least my laptop). Is there any way to do this?

This is basically a repost of a three year-old request, but I have the same problem and it received no useful response then.

Server Version#: 4.63.0
Player Version#: iOS 7.24.1

Downloads/Sync are saved into the app data folder. You can’t see this unless the device is jailbroken.

Thank you for that response, but I’m not willing to jailbreak my device. I was hoping there would be a simple way to do this without violating my device warranty but it doesn’t appear so.

I’m not aware of any other way to view files on an iOS device.

Well, I’m not a developer but one way would be to store the media files in iCloud Drive so they are accessible through the Files app (this could be optional to preserve people’s iCloud storage space). Or the app could have an “export to Plex Server” option (ideally this might even be a way to save other local media files to the Plex server).

The data that gets Synced was never intended to be accessed outside of the Plex app so there were no provisions made to backing it up.
