Can I re-upload a downloaded local file?

Server Version#: 1.27.2.5929
Player Version#:iOS 8.6

long story short: Due to some HDD problem and a not too intelligent decision all server data is gone, I’m back with a new empty Plex server.
Some files were downloaded to the iOS application … and still plays there. Joy!

How can I get these downloaded files either,

  • re-uploaded to the new server into a new Library?
  • get these files saved into a ‘files’ or similar app?

In case this is not possible in the current version, can I request this feature?
if this is not wanted as feature, can I request a support case to make this possible? just this once?

Nope not possible. There is no upload feature. Files downloaded to an iOS device are protected by the OS unless you jailbreak it, so it’s not possible for PMS to re-use those outside of the Plex for iOS app.
