Logs: Plex Media Server Logs_2021-01-09_22-41-22.zip (2.9 MB)

Error occurred at approximately 2021-01-09 22:37 (ish)

We recently bought a new computer to run Plex on:

|Processor|Intel® Celeron® G4900 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.10 GHz|
|Installed RAM|16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)|
|System type|64-bit operating system, x64-based processor|

Private Internet Access VPN and qBitTorrent are usually also running in the background, but that’s pretty much it on this machine.

I get this error and suuuuuuuuper slow transcoding on local, wired players on nearly everything I play. Lately I’ve been watching a lot of anime, with and without subs, and I think it happens more with subs, but I can’t be certain.

I’ve tried disabling the VPN and qBitTorrent, with no change.

I recently set up a Pi Hole on the network, but it was so soon after we got this new machine that I don’t have a way of telling if the issue started at the same time.

Edit: It feels like it happens more toward the end of an episode. Is there anything that goes on in preparation for potentially auto playing the next episode?

Any help would be very appreciated

The issue is mostly resolved by using to Settings > Troubleshooting > Optimize Database
