Refresh on load inconsistent

Moving a discussion here from a review in the Android app store…

I have found that I need to occasionally force a refresh of multiple downloaded smart playlists. The cause isn’t pinpointed, but it most recently happened after adding new music to the library which resulted in a change to the smart playlists.

I will keep an eye on it and update if I can find a way to make it repeatable.

Is it possible the app was already running in the background, so tapping on the icon didn’t actually start it (which triggers the refresh)?
