Regression: Transcoding audio with subtitles forces video transcoding

Continuing the discussion from NVidia Shield: SRT subtitles causing “burn subtitles” to activate when audio is also transcoded: this was working fine for a while, but now it’s back.

I’m trying to work around the problem described in this thread 7.1 audio causes video skipping and no sound by forcing an audio transcode, but because of this other problem, video is transcoded as well, which chokes my server.

I can PM server and player logs upon request.
