[RELEASE] OpenPHT 1.6.0

I haven’t seen this being reported. OpenPHT and latest Plex Black. When I pause playback moving along osd doesn’t generate sound. The only “click” on unpausing video. Compared with OpenPHT 1.5.2 and there is sound. Tested on Windows 10 and Windows 7.

Github issue number?

Ohh… Is that what you want? I didn’t realize from the description you wrote earlier, but from that pic I understand. Easy peasy, you can make that change yourself to any skin in under one minute. From this conversation, I can assume that you know how to install skins manually, so you know where the skins folder is. Inside the skin you want to change, then into the folder containing the skin xml files (720p for default or Black Edition, 1080i for Nox). In there you will find a file called “DialogFilters.xml” Delete it. You’re done.

That will force the old style filters to be used.

Oh wow… this is fantastic, thanks so much! I’ve just been doing some testing/tweaking with the AON Nox theme and have it looking almost like Mediastream. The only issue is when you go to Recently Added/Viewed etc and a list view it only displays the episode name not the show as well. But this is getting offtopic and I’ll ask a question in that theme sub-forum. Thanks again :slight_smile:

Skipping forwards or backwards during playback is less responsive that previous version. Was almost instantaneous previously but now slight delay and it pops up “SEEKING” while it’s working it out.

You can change the Playback -> Advanced video -> Skip delay option in Preferences to 0 ms to get back the old instant seeking behavior, default in 1.6 is to use adaptive seeking where if you repeatedly press skip forward/backwards within 750 ms the seek time will advance in steps of 30s, 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m+ until you finally stop

I made this change on my RasPlex install as I prefer the old behaviour. However it seems to have had the side-effect of disabling the preview images whilst seeking :frowning: Is that by design, or is it a (known?) issue?

For me the perfect combo is non-adaptive seeking with preview images, since the usual behaviour in our house is to hold down the seek button until reaching the desired area. With the new adaptive seeking, that very quickly leads to seeking to the end of the episode!

I have an issue with this version that pause (or pressing play to pause, should be the same function) is not working on my mce remote but works in the Android Plex widget. If I pause with the widget pressing play on the remote will resume. Anyone else have this or have a fix.

Also, same issue as the last version, recently added tv does not group downloads of the same tv show like the app or web version do. If I download a season of a show they are listed as individual episodes in recently added.

The key mappings have changed, not something we have done, just inherited from updating a lot of code from Kodi Isengard/Jarvis, you can remap keys using a keymap.xml file (the old mapping had Play mapped to ‘playpause’, now it maps to just ‘play’. We will have a look at this when an issue is raised on GitHub.

An example that I have done is:

 <keymap>
   <FullscreenVideo>
     <remote>
       <play>Pause</play>
     </remote>
   </FullscreenVideo>
 </keymap>

Also, same issue as the last version, recently added tv does not group downloads of the same tv show like the app or web version do. If I download a season of a show they are listed as individual episodes in recently added.

No version of OpenPHT, or PHT before it had this feature, there is an enhancement request on GitHub.

Ok I’ve opened an issue on github for the keymap.

Where do I find the keymap.xml? I expected to find it in user data but the keymaps directory there is empty.

This is a general question but I’m not sure where to ask:

Whenever I add a media file to PMS, I like it to show all the media flags contained in the file. ie, I want to see if the file has h.264 or AVC, DTS-HD MA, etc.

All of these flags show up just fine except the aspect ratio. Sometimes it’ll just say 1080p for aspect ratio when it actually is 2.35:1, it is never consistent and usually wrong. How can I address this? Thanks!

There is no default keymap.xml file you have to create one with a text editor.

We have just reverted the key mappings in the last release but had to hold back 1.6.1 to get this done, should now be out tomorrow if you can wait.

Just upgraded to ver. 1.6.1. Only issue so far is in Preferences - System - Advanced.
Under Video the first entry is “?0?” Tried on default and Black skin.

Would prefer you didn’t build unreleased versions, they may be/are unstable.

Just curious but when is the official release date of 1.6.1?

OpenPHT 1.6.1 is now released
