Hey guys having trouble with RasPlex 1.0.3 first on XTV IPTV channel not able to play any of the streams from USTVNOW which I have a account for i get this error GetDirectory file fail .Then in IPTV channel only able to play the streams by clicking on shuffle not by click on the link right away

IPTV has never worked on Rasplex, see some other the other posts in this section regarding this.

Regards

I am still having issues with the CEC and remote making double click when I am just making a single click. Anyone else also having this issue?
Or is it just something I have to live with. I am using a old 42" Phillips flat screen tv with the original remote. A raspberry pi 2 with rasplex version 1.0.3. It works fine with the remote on the latest Kodi release.

Hi,

Take a look at RPi VerifiedPeripherals - eLinux.org

For what it’s worth: I picked up a Edimax EW-7711ULC AC433 to try and could not get it working on the Pi 2.

Thanks guys. That is something I’m afraid - that I won’t be able to get it to work without much hacking. Might be more cost&time effective to upgrade the current router to a dual band instead.

Another option is to configure a wireless adapter… basically an access point in reverse. Many routers and AP can be set up in this way… often called “client” mode. The wireless side connects to your existing wireless network, then the RJ45 jacks link up to that. Great for devices that don’t have wireless built-in. Daisy-chain off another switch if you need more ports. This will free you up to use whatever wireless tech you want, not whatever happens to be supported by the Pi’s included kernel drivers.

I’m doing this right now on my AV stack and have done it elsewhere too in the past.

KUDOS :bz thanks so much…

I have the newest version of GetRasplex from the website and I selected Raspberry Pi2 and version 1.0.3 write to disk with no problem.

Trying to boot to Rasplex nothing happens get a black screen, power light on. Rasberian works fine on this SD card

This is on a new Raspberry Pi 3

Any idea whats going on?

Never mine, I figured it out… it was for some reason not displaying on my monitor. Plugged into television and it worked fine… and oddly it works find on that monitor now.

After this update my Rapsberry PI B+ drops its ethernet connection frequently all the time. Was working fine before.

Is there an option to do a rollback besides an new image flash?

Update:
SSH connection remains stable all the time. No drops whatsoever. In the Rasplex interface the client loses the connection to server all the time. Folders disappear + notices of directory cache failure. Checked the Plex server itself as well. Everything runs fine from there. Streaming from another client (PC) with Plex is no problem.

Update 2:
Seems to be the power adapter. It was only 1.3A but was that was no problem with the previous builds. Replaced it with 2a power supply and everything runs fine now.

Worth upgrading from Pi2 to Pi3?

Is there a noticeable increase in performance for Rasplex?

Not at the moment.

Great work. Any chance of getting tethering to work with the pi 3 wifi chip?

The wifi built into the Pi3 sucks pretty bad. You’re better off avoiding it.

Thanks for the info. Do you have a recommendation on a USB adapter that works well for tethering? Or a place I can look that kind of thing up?

Thanks again!
