Nice. Thanks @Kwiboo.

Seems to boot a little faster on PI2 so far.

BRAVO ! =D> =D> =D>

Awesome!. Many Thanks!

Trying to run this v1.0.3 on new RPi3B. Used GetRasplex on iMac to download and flash to new 32GB micro-SD card. Appeared to be successful, and file list read on iMac looks very plausible, but on attempt to boot from card on RPi3, I get power on red light, full height rainbow coloured square on screen, but no flashing green activity light and no other activity.

i know the hardware and card both work because I have successfully copied NOOBS onto card and installed Raspbian, then booted from it.

But with Rasplex, nothing.

When I tried the same thing yesterday with v1.0.2, I got same rainbow screen, but green activity light flashed four times slowly, then four times quickly, then pause, then repeated indefinitely.

Any suggestions? Does it need me to edit something in configuration file(s) before attempting to boot on RPi3? If so, what?

Or should I just download the v1.0.3 image from GitHub, use it as local image source in GetRasplex and try again? I’ll give that a go while waiting to see if there’s a response to this post.

Thanks if you can help. Very frustrating to fail at the first hurdle!

Are you sure you downloaded the right image in GetRasplex, there are two, you need to select RPi2 in the dropdown, from what you describe thats what you get with the wrong image file.

I know it works fine as I have used it several time this morning (on a MacBookPro) whilst running full regression tests on 1.0.3 for the RPi0, RPi1, RPi2 and RPi3.

Regards

Thanks. I’ll try that - don’t remember seeing the choice, but will look for it.

Perhaps I haven’t got the latest version of GetRasplex, though it is recent - as of a few days ago.

That was at least a large part of the issue - I didn’t get offered the choice of Raspberry Pi2 in the version of GetRasplex I had. Now have the newest version 1.0.1 of GetRasplex.

Shall try to reflash card soon (busy for a while now) and respond with results. At least I now get to choose between Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi2.

Many thanks for such a fast and helpful response.

BINGO! That’s got me started. Very many thanks. Serves me right for being in a bit too much of a hurry - at the bleeding edge.

All well now - I’m at the Welcome to RasPlex screen.

Good, it’s also worthwhile installing deadeyeflint’s excellent Plex Black Edition skin in /storage/.plexht/addons then restart the RPi.

… and I’m now up and running. Thank you again.

How long before the built-in update service detects 1.0.3? I’m on 1.0.2 now and select “Check for update now” and it tells me I’m on the latest.

Have you selected the ‘Pre-release’ channel?

Nope. Is 1.0.3 a “pre-release”?

1.0.3 will be moved to the stable channel in a week or two if no major issue is reported

Ah ok. New to Rasplex, so unfamiliar with the process. I’m ok with that and can just wait.

I can confirm that Rasplex 1.0.3 Ethernet and Wireless networking function ok form me on Pi 3, but the Bluetooth tab in System Settings just says ‘Disabled’, with no apparent option to enable it, or to pair with another Bluetooth device.

I’d like to connect a Bluetooth keyboard, and wonder there is an estimated time for this to be enabled in a future version of Rasplex?

Hey guys having trouble with RasPlex 1.0.3 first on XTV IPTV channel not able to play any of the streams from USTVNOW which I have a account for i get this error GetDirectory file fail .Then in IPTV channel only able to play the streams by clicking on shuffle not by click on the link right away

It’s working, you need to enable Bluetooth in Services, scroll down.

Will only work with remotes and keyboards, no speakers etc.
