remember the play position for audiobooks also. especially now as it is possible to sync them and take them with you.
[Edit Mod] This post is also asking for an audio book specific library type separate from music library. While remembering position is part of a Music library, Audiobook could help with other features like chapter selection, books covers, publishers, etc, which is not possible in a Music library.
Also chapter navigation support would be great for audiobooks.

If ID3 Tags Contain Chapters or if Tags or genres contains audiobook support features such as save position and chapter navigation. [I have soundtrack albums which contain audio dramas and I like to keep the album altogether.]

Actually, supporting this is the reason I finally decided to become a PlexPass member.
I would love to see this feature implemented! I use the audio section for audio books now but it is pretty ugly. Still better than putting all of my audio books on my phone though.

Big yes for audio book features. I would love to be able to remember my last position or bookmarks across all my devices.
I'd like to weigh in with a vote to let us make Audiobook sections, instead of lumping them with Music, as they are usually handled significantly differently (chapter selection, 30s/15s skipback button, playback speed adjustment, and position saving).
This feature would be fantastic for podcasts as well. I'd love to be able to play podcasts across multiple devices and remember my playback position!
yeah having a section designed from the ground up for audiobooks would be great!!!
I agree with previous posters. Adding real audio book functionality into Plex will be a tremendous step in the right direction. If it is not already on the ToDo list pleas put it there and give us a hint when a Alpha release can be expected.
And not just audiobooks, but also class lectures and podcasts (not the currently published itunes-type podcast (although that might be nice too), but for the older archives... a giant list of mp3 files.)
+1 this is a must for anyone serious for using Plex as an all round media player.
I will love an own audiobook section with resume for every audiobook inside. Chapter supprt will be nice too. Together with the sync feature it is a killer feature for me.

Would be good to have this. I raised this request recently which is more general - basically remembering position for music (audio) and slideshows - doing it for ebooks would be a subset of this request
