I have done all those things except (5) - not sure what/where my “host networking config” is… Do you mean in my router? …my router says IPv6 is enabled and OK (Hub v6 status, network v6 status) and I can see all my IPv6 WAN details except DNS
Looking at Network/interfaces, I can see that adaptor 1 is happily connected with an IP address and showing a network speed of 1 Gbps. My second adaptor is not connected as my router cannot span across 2 connections.
…bearing in mind that network access was working fine for the last year (until the last 2 Plex updates) and has been working fine since manually disabling/enabling yesterday (still touching wood).
Adapter 1 == eth0
Adapter 2 == eth1 and has no address
This is confirmed by your ifconfig output above
changes were made in 1.13.4 & 5 for networking. The final change is 1.13.5.
while possible an oddity slipped through, I would think more would have a problem than just you.
That said,
With PMS settings pointing at eth0 and having been restarted, there is no improvement?
thanks for that explanation. Its all makes more sense now.
…but difficult to say if there has been any improvement with your changes as network access has been up 100% since since I disabled/enabled remote access last night in Plex settings. I am in the UK and it is now 21:37 so that was nearly a day ago now.
FileStation - Navigate into the Codecs directory ( /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex Media Server/Codecs) and delete everything (we’re going to download them all again)
Restart QTS
Start PMS after QTS is up and stable.
I ask this because the database shows locked and queries are showing slow. This shouldn’t happen on the J3455 CPU
