remote acces is not working, wrong IP.

Yes, My apologies. Been very busy.

Can you stop all scanning / playback for a moment and Optimize the database?
Also, in Settings - Server - Scheduled Tasks - Make sure database optimization is enabled? Your database is terribly slow. (fragmented)

I see where PMS is talking fine. What I see the most of is PMS not being able to communicate between the modules because of the DB.

Would you mind if we address this first?

Hi,

No, I would not mind doing that first - appreciate everything. you are doing.

  • Settings - Server - Scheduled Tasks - Make sure database optimization was enabled
  • I have also optimised the database manually just now.

J.

Restart PMS please.

With the DB optimized, give everything a fresh start. It will behave better

done. …but there is no “restart” button, right? I am stopping and starting the app from within QNAP app centre.

Yes… I had assumed that was obvious

I thought so, but suddenly thought that maybe there was a “restart” button akin to soft-resetting your phone (as opposed to switching it off and on again).

…is there anything else I need to do?

cheers

No… Go for it… “Adjust for maximum smoke”

Thanks for all your help!

@ChuckPa - woke up to Plex remote access being down 4 times in. the last 2 hours (still down right now)…

…I just manually disabled and re-enabled and it came straight back up. …will monitor.

I had a similar problem where Plex would obtain the wrong IP address on my QNAP. It turns out that it was conflicting with my docker container. If I disable my docker container, Plex would be able to get the correct IP address. It looked like the docker container added some network configuration to my adapter 1 (VPN related I believe)
