So I have been one of those that have had issues all of the sudden with Remote Access not working. (After it was working for some time). I just got mine to start working and my fix was turning off UPnP on my ASUS Wireless Router. I am not sure the consequences for my other devices in the house, and I suspect some PS3 issues, but because I don’t use my Playstation nearly as much as I use Plex I am not too worried. As long as my TV will connect to Plex (which I am try now as I type this) then I think I will be ok with this fix.
Also, I am in a Double NAT situation. I have a Comcast owned Modem and my personal ASUS Router. I am not in Bridge Mode because that caused problems and Comcast suggested leaving Bridge mode disabled and just turning the Wireless off.
My TV just pulled up Plex so I assume all is good. I tested Remote Access with the iPhone app on LTE (not on my wifi network) and I could get to my media so all looks to be good. I won’t turn my PS3 on because I don’t want to open up more issues. Its lunch time!
