Remote Access going from green to red after update to latest Plex server sfw

Remote access upload speed showed with an exclamation mark after doing the latest upgrade yesterday and is when the remote access was read. I did the speed test and put in 5 meg and is when it goes from green to red. I even tried inserting numbers up to 500000 with same result. i tried rebooting…logging in on website all to know avail.

Remote access was working fine before the update yesterday for we just came back from vacation where I was using it!

No other hardware has changed in the house and I rebooted router and modem again no difference.

Do you have port forwarding setup for your remote access or are you relying on upnp?

Although upnp can work it is not as stable as port forwarding.

I would say no I installed Plex last year and it has worked wonderfully up until the update yesterday and I have used it remotely several dozen times over past year. coincidentally I purchased the lifetime Plex pass 2 weeks ago…would it be a player in the issue?

BTW I have TPLinks latest router and since purchasing 6 months ago have noticed a major improvement in reliability across all devices

I would look into this and disable plex remote access, setup a “Virtual Server” for port 32400 and set your Plex server to a static IP and use that static IP in the “Virtual Server”.
After setup go to canyouseeme.org and test port 32400, if it shows success enable plex remote access.
