Im running plex media server on a Ubuntu 16.04 server, and i just can’t get remote access working. I’ve tried letting it automatically port forward via UPNP several times, but that didn’t work. Tried turning UPNP on and off, still nothing. Then i tried manually port forwarding, which seemed to work, but only for a couple of seconds. This happens everytime i turn remote access on/off. It will stay green for 2-5 seconds, then tell my “Not available outside your network”. I know i port forwarded the port correctly, as http://canyouseeme.org/ says it successfully can see my service at the opened port and IP address. So if it’s not a port issue, then what is it? I’m running VPN in a split tunnelling setup, which plex isn’t affected by. So plex just use my regular IP address. Thanks for your time!
